  1. Breathtaking! Brings back totally the night I saw the legendary original cast in the original production that doubtless will NEVER be topped!! Alexis Smith, the brilliant Gene Nelson, the surprising and moving Dorothy Collins and one of the true greats of the Broadway stage, John McMartin….plus all the rest!! I can see those statuesque “show-girls” creating sets out of empty stage now!
    And Alexis Smith and those guys stopped the show cold with this number!!

  2. Stunning, but the audio seems quite odd. Almost as if this was filmed silently and then the audio was added later?

  3. I believe that’s exactly what it is: silent footage with a live recording dubbed in. It’s the only one I’ve seen that syncs up so well! What a number!
